Questions and answers on loans and reservations

Borrowing

You can collect books as self-service at the libraries in Haaga, Pasila, Porvoo, and Vierumäki. Books are borrowed with the self-service machine.

Reservations

  • Book transfers between Haaga-Helia campuses operate until 18 June. After that, only books in Pasila's collections can be reserved, to be picked up in Pasila.
  • Check in HH Finna that the book is available in  Pasila.
  • Make reservations with a form

Returning loans

  • In the summer, you can return loans to Pasila library.
All loans due 2 March, 2020 or later have been extended. The due date is 2 September, 2020. Please check your loans on HH Finna.

Can I borrow books from other 3UAS libraries?

  • Laurea and Metropolia libraries have also started a limited loans service. Books are not currently transferred between the libraries of Haaga-Helia, Laurea, and Metropolia.
  • See the libraries websites for more information

I have reservations I no longer need. What should I do?

  • Cancel unnecessary reservations on HH Finna.

Can I make reservations on HH Finna?

  • Unfortunately, reservations on HH Finna are not available yet, because loans services at 3UAS libraries are currently limited.
  • There are no book transfers between Haaga-Helia, Laurea, and Metropolia.
  • Check in HH Finna whether the book you need is available at any of the 3UAS libraries currently offering loans services. Be prepared to collect the book from the library where it is available. If that is not possible, wait until the libraries are open again. Then place a reservation, if you still need the book. Try searching for an e-book as a replacement. Ask the library to help you with this, if necessary.
  • Use Favourites in HH Finna to save information on books you will be needing. When reservations are again enabled, you can utilize the Favourites list when you start making reservations. More information on Favourites.
