You can borrow items from the collections of all 3AMK libraries (Haaga-Helia, Laurea, and Metropolia) and request titles to be sent to your branch from other branches free of charge. Vierumäki campus library sends books only if other libraries don’t have copies in their collections. Books in Vierumäki’s collection LPT-kurssikirjat are loaned only to students of Sport Institute of Finland and not sent to other libraries.
3AMK loan periods are either
A customer can have a maximum of 100 loans at a time. If you already have a maximum number of loans, you will be able to loan (or collect reservations) only after returning some of your loans.
If you are a Haaga-Helia student with print disability, you may be able to get longer loan periods for course books. See instructions below.
The easiest way to reserve titles and request transfers is to do it via HH Finna. You will receive an email notification when the reserved title is ready for collection. You have five working days to collect your reservation. Make sure you collect the reserved title or cancel the reservation if you no longer require it. We will charge a fee for uncollected reservations (see price list). You can cancel your reservation in Tuudo or HH Finna if it has not yet been processed and the item is not yet available for collection. If your reservation has already been processed and you wish to cancel it, you can do so by contacting the pick-up library.
A customer can have a maximum of 50 reservations at a time.
A reservation slip with your hold identifier is included with the book you have reserved. By default, the hold identifier is your name. If you do not want your name to be shown with your reservations, ask the library to change your hold identifier and to create an alias for you. Send your request for an alias with this form.
You can renew loans in Tuudo or by logging into HH Finna. Renewal is possible if the title is not reserved by other customers. Each loan can be renewed up to 15 times.
You can return loaned items to any of the branches of 3AMK libraries Haaga-Helia, Laurea, or Metropolia (see contact information). If you return or renew a loan late, we will charge a late return fine. The charges can be checked from our price list.
You can also return items outside library’s opening hours. In this case your return will be recorded on the next working day. All our libraries have a returns box next to the library door, inside the campus building.
Contact the library and present a certificate on your print disability written by Haaga-Helia’s special needs teacher. The certificate can also be written by another special needs teacher, neuropsychologist or doctor.
If you have a print disability, you can borrow course books in the form of audiobooks from Celia Library. The service is free of charge and available upon registering as a client at Celia. Registration will be made in Haaga-Helia Library against the library card. You don’t need to present a certificate on your print disability. If the course book you need is not already available in audiobook format, it can be produced for you. The production of a new audiobook takes about 3 months. Therefore, it is important to order the book in good time. More information is available on Celia's website. The Haaga-Helia Library will help you with your book orders.
